    meet the players

    Rich Strang

    Drums, Vocals

A Prog Rock teen from the 70s, Rich spent his early 20s trying to be a career musician in his native New York. After a couple years playing most of the bigger clubs on Long Island he moved to  Denver to rock climb and take a short break from the music world. The early 90s found him in Cincinnati Ohio and back playing keyboards and drums in several successful part time grunge bands.

A resident of Santa Fe the past 30 years, he’s now avidly back to both climbing and playing music. The upbeat nature and complexities of much of ATA’s material brings back many fun challenges and fond memories of his youth.

    Kobey Ratliff

    Bass and Vocals

Growing up in Fort Worth, Texas, Kobey was always within reach of great live music, from   Willie Nelson to Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top and so many others.  Kobey received a guitar for Christmas at age ten and his love for playing music has continued ever since.

He’s enjoyed playing in a lot of bands through the last 40 plus years around Texas, Oklahoma and the Southwest and, now Santa Fe.  He’s really excited about revisiting some of this classic country, country rock, and southern rock material and playing it again in ATA’s own unique style.

    Fulvio Ottaviano

    Lead and Rhythm Guitar

Fulvio began his musical journey in the 1970s working in an underground theater company where he co-founded the "Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio," the first jazz school in Rome. Attracted by an array of musical instruments, he experimented with piano, trumpet, cello, violin, sitar, and finally guitar.

After a long stint in the film industry as director and screenwriter, which earned him the David di Donatello (the Italian Oscar), he has now returned to his old passion in Santa Fe: music.

1 oz. of jazz, 1 oz. of funk, a splash of classic rock, all garnished with a dash of rhythm and blues: this is his favorite cocktail.

    Steamboat Johnnie Harris

lead, Rhythm, and Slide Guitars; Vocals

Having played guitar from a young age, then walking away from it in his late 20's, John resumed playing after a 20 year hiatus back in the early 2000's.

He has since been blessed to have played in bands and jammed with other players across Nebraska, Colorado, and now New Mexico.   In the process, his musical interests have broadened to include genres like country and R&B, but his playing still reflects his roots in blues and blues-rock, and the debt he owes his main influences, Freddie King and Eric Clapton.

He's excited for this project's focus on progressive country, southern rock, and country rock, the latter a unique but sometimes forgotten element of the late '60's and early 70's golden era of Classic Rock.

    Geri Vigil Harris

    Vocals

“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens… bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens…..newspaper packages tied up with strings”……these are a few of Geri’s favorite things!

A native of Santa Fe, Geri enjoyed singing in choirs, weddings, and on the local radio from primary school (shout out to DeVargas Junior High!) through high school and college.

Although she took an extended hiatus from public singing, through 40 years of marriage to John (guitarist), Geri has never stopped singing (or teaching their child how to harmonize) on car rides, in the kitchen, or at family parties. In recent years, Geri made her way back to the microphone and has enjoyed singing with John in each of his various bands.
